I am currently a FCT Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Philosophy at the University of Lisbon, and Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh in 2020.
My research focuses primarily on issues in the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, with secondary interests in philosophy of science and epistemology. My current research focuses on the relationship between predictive processing and radical views of cognition, such as embodied and extended cognition. I also have continuing interests in computational theories of mind, levels of analysis, mechanistic explanation, and music cognition. I am always open to collaboration and feedback so please feel free get in touch. When not philosophising, I enjoy playing ice hockey, paddling around lakes, trekking up hills, and camping in the great outdoors. Contact info: lukekersten@edu.ulisboa.pt |
