​I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Alberta. My research is situated in philosophy of mind and cognitive science, with additional interests in philosophy of science and AI.

Before joining Alberta, I held positions at the University of Lisbon and Ruhr-Universität Bochum. I was Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London in 2023. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh. 

​When not philosophising, I enjoy playing ice hockey, reading, and exploring the great outdoors.
