I am Assistant Professor in Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Alberta. My primary research interests are in philosophy of cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science. I also have a strong interest in foundational issues in AI, including ethics.
I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh in 2020 under the supervision of Mark Sprevak. Before joining Alberta, I was Killam Postdoctoral Fellow in the Philosophy Department at the University of Alberta (2023), FCT Junior Researcher at the Centre for Philosophy at the University of Lisbon (2022), and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in NeuroMind at the Institute of Philosophy II at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (2021). I was also Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London in 2023. When not philosophising, I enjoy reading, camping, and playing hockey. |
